Maciej Mazurek, a 30-year-old entrepreneur from Warsaw, Poland, married Ola Novak in Perugia, Italy, on July 2, making a dramatic entrance inspired by the James Bond film "Skyfall."

Mazurek, a self-proclaimed fan of the spy franchise, spent $24,000 to zipline from a top-floor window directly to the altar, accompanied by the movie's theme music. Three rope specialists were on hand to ensure the stunt's safety, and Mazurek practiced the maneuver early on the wedding day.

"It was a very special moment for me," Mazurek stated. "I was so happy it all went well and I could arrive in style."

The cost of the zipline, while significant, was deemed worthwhile by Mazurek for the reaction it elicited from his family and friends. "Nobody knew it was happening, but my friends and family know I’ll always go all out, so they weren’t even that surprised," he added.

Mazurek and Novak, who met via Instagram in 2023 and became engaged in Rome in December 2024, had been planning their wedding for 18 months. The groom's elaborate entrance was a scaled-down version of his initial idea.

"At first, I wanted to helicopter in and descend into the ceremony hanging on a rope from the chopper," Mazurek explained. "I actually did three days of training for it, but quickly realized it was going to cost way too much – like $300,000." The couple ultimately opted for the zipline, which surprised all guests except the bride.

"It was one of my favorite parts of the day – waiting there before jumping," Mazurek recalled. "I could see a beautiful vista of Italian countryside and all our friends and family smiling below. Then, when I leapt into the zipline, it was the greatest moment!" Mazurek's grand entrance was captured by photographers, showcasing him in a white jacket and black pants descending towards the ceremony.
