Greg James, host of BBC Radio 1's Breakfast Show, has confirmed his attendance at the wedding of pop star Taylor Swift and NFL player Travis Kelce. James revealed on Instagram Stories that he was recovering from what he described as the "world's greatest hangover" following the event.
James had received a personal invitation from Swift during a BBC Radio 1 interview in October 2025, where the singer publicly invited him to the ceremony. "True to her word, of course the invitation arrived and I couldn't tell anyone," James stated, describing the night as "unbelievably brilliant."
The wedding, which took place on Friday in New York City, was attended by approximately 1,000 guests, including numerous celebrities and public figures. Among the attendees were Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid, Lena Dunham, Dakota Johnson, Steven Spielberg, Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Brad Pitt, Ed Sheeran, Dua Lipa, Hugh Grant, Graham Norton, Jessica Alba, Tom Brady, Chris Rock, and a significant number of NFL players. The couple announced their marriage through video advertisements displayed at an iconic music venue with the message "JUST MARRIED."
James, dressed in a black suit, attended with his wife, Bella Mackie, who wore a red midi dress. The invitation extended by Swift was part of a light-hearted interview discussing her album "The Life of a Showgirl," her engagement, and their friendship. Swift had joked that James would have the opportunity to meet Kelce at the wedding, confirming his "obvious" invitation.
Notable guests also included Zoe Kravitz, Ethan Hawke, Nelly, Andrew Scott, Ice Spice, Kareem Hunt, and Laura Dern. Karlie Kloss, Kloss's husband Joshua Kushner, were also present, signaling a potential reconciliation between Kloss and Swift, who had a rumored falling out in 2019. However, Blake Lively, a longtime friend of Swift's, was reportedly absent, with speculation suggesting a rift possibly related to a legal dispute involving Justin Baldoni.
Swift and Kelce's engagement was publicly announced on August 26 last year, following Travis Kelce's proposal on August 10 in Lee's Summit, Missouri. The couple kept the engagement private for approximately two weeks before their joint Instagram announcement.
