The Great American State Fair has opened on the National Mall in Washington D.C. as part of the nationwide celebrations for America's 250th anniversary. The fair includes aerial demonstrations and a prominent Ferris wheel.
This event is one of several iconic state fairs being highlighted across six regions of the United States in commemoration of America 250. The D.C. fair aims to bring a taste of traditional state fair experiences to the nation's capital.
