Amy Tapper, a former cast member of Channel 4’s Gogglebox, has showcased a 7-stone weight loss in a recent social media snapshot after publicly revealing she used the prescription drug Mounjaro as part of her weight-loss regimen.

The 25-year-old posted a new image this week wearing a white blouse and fitted black trousers during a night out, continuing to document the change she first shared last year. Tapper has said she began using the injections in June of the previous year and told The Sun she had ‘‘felt there was nothing else I could do’’ before her doctor introduced her to the treatment. She said she has been taking a 15mg weekly dose since February, having worked her way up from 2.5mg.

Tapper has posted a series of updates across the past year showing incremental milestones. In February she shared a mirror selfie showing an item of clothing from 2022 now appearing loose on her slimmer frame and wrote that she was ‘‘officially 5 stone down’’. In April she recorded an emotional reaction after her scales registered a 6-stone loss and celebrated the milestone with her personal trainer. In July she attended a family wedding in a plunging floral dress and remarked that she was three dress sizes smaller than the previous year.

She told The Sun that the treatment ‘‘changed my life’’ but expressed frustration at critics who call the injections ‘‘the lazy way out’’. ‘‘I don't want people to think that I've sat around for the last 17 years of my life not trying to lose weight,’’ she said. ‘‘I want people to know that this has been my only option to get this far.’’

Tapper rose to public attention at age 13 when she appeared alongside her parents and brother on Gogglebox, a role she left in 2018. She has frequently used Instagram to chart her fitness routine, posting videos of gym workouts, weight training, boxing and sessions with her trainer. In April she thanked her trainer publicly, describing them as more than a coach and crediting their support for helping her reach the 6-stone milestone.

Tapper has also spoken about the scrutiny she faced after becoming a television personality as a teenager. She said she and her father received negative commentary online about their weight and that she was sometimes criticised for her voice. She said the response to her recent posts has been largely supportive, with followers sharing their own goals and thanking her for inspiration.

In social posts and interviews Tapper has highlighted practical outcomes from her weight loss, saying she is now fitting into size 18 clothing for the first time since her mid-teens. She has described a steady approach of combining the prescribed injections with exercise and coaching rather than relying solely on medication.

Mounjaro (tirzepatide) is a prescription medication originally developed for type 2 diabetes that has been used off-label and, where approved, prescribed for weight management in some patients under medical supervision. Tapper's comments and timeline reflect her individual experience; she has described a gradual dosing increase and continued monitoring with healthcare support.

Tapper continues to share updates with her followers as she reaches new milestones and maintains her fitness routine. She has asked for understanding around choices she described as ‘‘my only option to get this far’’ and welcomed the supportive responses from many who follow her journey.
