Ella-Mae Rayner, who portrays the character Comet on the revived BBC series Gladiators, recently celebrated her second wedding ceremony with husband James Exton. The couple exchanged vows again in a lavish event held in Greece on Friday, with Rayner sharing photos from the occasion on social media.
Rayner, a former elite gymnast, wore a white fishtail bridal gown by Emma Beaumont, featuring a long train and an elegant, lacy veil. The backless dress was embroidered with button-up detailing. Her husband, James Exton, opted for a classic black suit with an open-collared white shirt.
The couple officially married in the United Kingdom last month. For that ceremony, Rayner wore a white fitted blazer over a silk skirt with a mini train, paired with an oversized white hat and veil, while Exton wore a sharp white suit. Photos from the UK celebration were shared, showing the couple posing in front of St. Albans Cathedral.
Rayner and Exton became engaged in May 2025 when Exton proposed on a boat in Corfu.
Rayner joined the Gladiators lineup when the show was revived by the BBC in 2024. She has previously spoken about her athletic background, emphasizing the blend of power and femininity in her identity. She noted that while she possesses significant muscle strength, she also enjoys fashion and dressing up.
In 2024, Rayner sustained a serious injury during filming while performing on The Wall, an event that required a lengthy recovery period. She later spoke about the incident, highlighting the reality of the show's physical demands and commending the medical team's support.
Filming for the fourth series of Gladiators began in late August 2026. The upcoming season will see changes to the cast, with some stars reportedly not returning and four new additions joining the lineup. Among the new recruits are Olympic gold medal-winning skeleton racer Tabby Stoecker, fitness influencer Florence Wong (Huntress), World's Strongest Man champion Tom Stoltman, and rugby star Joe Marler, who will appear as a Celebrity Gladiator.
