Model Gigi Hadid debuted a new hairstyle, described as 'heart-shaped layers' or 'love layers,' just before the weekend celebrations for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's nuptials began. Her hairdresser, Dimitris Giannetos, shared photos of the updated look on Instagram on Thursday evening.
The new style features bouncy layers that frame Hadid's face, with the length falling just below her shoulders. Giannetos explained that the cut creates an illusion of a heart shape, providing volume at the top and appearing more narrow at the bottom. He noted that the haircut can create a facial contouring effect, making the face appear more structured, and complements a middle part.
To achieve the look, Giannetos used a round brush, pinning the hair to cool before finger-brushing and applying hairspray to set the shape. The refresh comes as Hadid prepares for a weekend celebrating her friend, Swift.
Hadid was among the rumored guests at a kickoff celebration held at Madison Square Garden on Thursday night. The intimate event reportedly had around 100 guests, including notable figures like Selena Gomez, Jack Antonoff, and Lena Dunham. Hadid's boyfriend, Bradley Cooper, was also seen heading to the venue.
While reports on whether Swift and Kelce have already married remain conflicting, plans for a large party with approximately 1,000 guests at Madison Square Garden were scheduled for Friday night. Permits indicated the event could extend until 4 a.m. Guests were reportedly asked to surrender their phones to prevent leaks, and NYPD officers were present throughout the weekend. On Friday morning, Swift's car was seen arriving at Hadid's residence, suggesting preparations for the day's events.
The venue for the celebrations was adorned with roses and dusty pink curtains, with rumors circulating that Swift had constructed a custom 'castle' inside MSG and sourced a large quantity of calla lilies.
