Supermodel Gigi Hadid showcased a new hairstyle, a series of "love layers" designed to resemble a heart shape, as she attended a rehearsal dinner for the wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. The event took place Thursday night at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Hadid's hairstylist, Dimitris Giannetos, shared images of the model's honey blond locks styled in a curled-under blowout, explaining on Instagram that the cut was an updated version of a "C-cut" that creates an illusion of heart-shaped layers. "I wanted to create the updated version of the C-cut giving this evening to Gigi some Love Layers (aka heart shape layers)!," Giannetos wrote. He further detailed that "a bit more lift on the roots and the first layers start hitting a little below the chin till the tips of the hair ! It creates basically an illusion of heart shape layers!"
Hadid arrived at the rehearsal dinner accompanied by her boyfriend, Bradley Cooper, who was seen in a three-piece suit. Also present was fellow Swift friend Ashley Avignone, who appeared to be wearing a one-shouldered purple gown.
Hadid and Swift have maintained a friendship for over a decade. Swift reportedly spent several hours at her New York City home on Wednesday, presumably preparing for the upcoming weekend events.
Other notable guests at the rehearsal dinner included Selena Gomez, who wore a black lace dress adorned with over $40,000 worth of diamonds, and Swift's childhood best friend, Abigail Anderson Berard, who chose a butter yellow caped slip dress from Reformation.
Reports indicate that more than 1,000 guests are invited to the main wedding celebration, also scheduled to be held at Madison Square Garden on Friday night.
