Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner star together in American Vogue’s October 2025 issue, posing in gowns on galloping horses in a shoot photographed by Lachlan Bailey at the Diamond Cross Ranch in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
The California natives, who both grew up horseback riding, appear in frilly Alexander McQueen dresses for the outdoors segment of the spread: Jenner in a light purple gown and Hadid in mint green as they rode across the ranch. For the magazine’s cover, the pair wear Miu Miu — Jenner in a long-sleeve navy-and-gray plaid flannel with brown suede detailing at the shoulders and Hadid in a colorful, form-fitting patchwork mini dress. Elsewhere in the fashion story the models sport Western-inspired and feminine pieces from designers including Louis Vuitton, Rodarte and Marc Jacobs.
The shoot, credited to Lachlan Bailey, was staged outdoors at the Diamond Cross Ranch and emphasizes the pair’s equestrian roots. Hadid and Jenner were accompanied in the magazine by an interview conducted by Chloe Malle, American Vogue’s newly appointed head of editorial content.
“We’re sisters more than we’re friends,” Jenner tells Vogue in the interview. Hadid added that the foundation of their friendship is mutual professional respect: “I think the base of our friendship is that we respect the same things that we see in each other when we go to work. We’re not there to ask for special treatment. We always work hard.” Jenner recalled their early career overlap, saying she was Hadid’s "biggest fan" when they first began appearing together in shows and campaigns in the early 2010s.
The joint appearance continues a long-running public association between the two models, who were nicknamed “KenGi” as they rose through the fashion circuit. The October issue pairs the personal element of their friendship with a fashion narrative that blends Western motifs and couture styling, photographed against the Wyoming landscape.
Vogue’s October issue traditionally focuses on major fashion moments and cultural conversations; this year’s cover places Hadid and Jenner together in a commercial and editorial gesture that highlights both their careers and their longstanding personal connection.
