Manchester City goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, 27, married his childhood sweetheart Alessia Elefante in a ceremony at the Chiesa Madre di San Giorgio Martire in Locorotondo, Italy, on Friday.
Elefante, 29, wore a strapless lace corseted gown with sheer polka dot arm sleeves, while Donnarumma donned a white tuxedo jacket with black tailored trousers. The couple were seen celebrating as they exited the church as husband and wife.
Notable attendees included football figures such as Pep Guardiola, Sandro Tonali, Paolo Maldini, Nicolo Barella, and Erling Haaland, who was accompanied by his partner Isabel Haugseng Johansen.
On the dance floor later in the evening, Haaland participated in a Viking row, a communal chant led by a drum rhythm.
This wedding follows a civil marriage the couple completed earlier this year, announced in May with the caption, "Long-term contract signed." Donnarumma and Elefante, who have known each other for years, officially began their relationship in 2016, the same year Donnarumma began to gain recognition as a promising goalkeeper at AC Milan.
Elefante, an interior designer, has supported Donnarumma throughout his career moves, relocating with him from Milan to Paris in 2021 when he joined Paris Saint-Germain, and later to Manchester City. The couple welcomed their son, Leo, in 2024, and Donnarumma proposed to Elefante later that year during a surprise candlelit dinner in Paris.
