Georgina Rodriguez appeared at Kering’s Caring for Women Dinner in New York on Thursday wearing the large diamond engagement ring she and Cristiano Ronaldo unveiled when they announced their engagement.
The 31-year-old model wore a figure-hugging black dress and a matching diamond necklace while showing the oval-cut stone, which industry specialists and outlets have valued at roughly $3 million and described as being in the double-digit carat range. The couple confirmed their engagement in an Instagram post on Aug. 11, when Rodriguez wrote, "Yes I do. In this and in all my lives."
Laura Taylor, an engagement ring specialist at Lorel Diamonds, told media outlets the stone appears to be an oval cut in the 15-to-20-carat range. Multiple reports have placed the ring's value at about $3 million. Rodriguez has previously been photographed wearing a different diamond ring; jewellers said at the time that the larger stone represented a new engagement piece.
Rodriguez and Ronaldo have been publicly linked since 2016. They share two daughters, Alana and Bella, and Rodriguez is stepmother to Ronaldo’s three older children. The couple's engagement followed months of public attention, including a private dinner with bridal-themed decorations that fans noted on Rodriguez’s social media and speculation after she was pictured wearing a large stone.
Ronaldo has previously spoken about the timing of a possible proposal. In comments for a Netflix programme he said he would wait for the right moment, saying, "when we get that click" and that it could happen in a month, six months or a year. He has also on multiple occasions used the term "wife" when referring to Rodriguez at public events and in videos, before the formal announcement.
The Kering Caring for Women Dinner is a charity event that draws figures from fashion, entertainment and business. Rodriguez’s appearance on Thursday joined a roster of attendees who were present to support the foundation’s philanthropy work. Her ring and accompanying jewellery drew media attention as photos circulated through social and traditional outlets.
The couple have not disclosed wedding plans following the engagement announcement. Their public timeline shows years of shared appearances and family milestones since they began their relationship in 2016, and the recent post formalised their intention to marry.
