Georgia Toffolo has shared an emotional update regarding her and husband James Watt's journey to start a family, revealing they have been trying to conceive for eight months. The former Made in Chelsea star, 31, and BrewDog founder Watt, 43, who married in March of last year, have been open about their plans to have children.

Toffolo addressed the topic on social media after being repeatedly asked about their progress. "A little update, because so many of you have asked. We’re going into month eight now," she stated in a video. She described carrying “so much shame and embarrassment” about their fertility struggles but found that speaking about it publicly was liberating.

"Saying it out loud changed everything," Toffolo said. "So, this is just me carrying on the conversation, which helped so much." She expressed gratitude for the messages of support she has received, stating, "Every single one. They have lifted me more than you’ll ever know. If you’re somewhere in this too, you are not on your own."

Toffolo's honesty resonated with many on social media, with numerous individuals thanking her for her openness. She later posted another video, empathizing with those experiencing similar challenges. "So many of you messaged to say that you’re going through the same thing. Eight months, longer, all of it," she shared. "I think there’s something quite comforting knowing that we are not doing this on our own. I just can’t quite put into words how healing that is for me."

She explained her motivation for continuing the conversation, noting that fertility struggles are often kept private. "I just wanted to share it because I think we’re all a bit too quiet about this," Toffolo said. "I was carrying so much shame and embarrassment. I really don’t think that is necessary."

Toffolo admitted she had assumed conceiving would be straightforward due to their healthy lifestyles. "I had this belief that because James and I are super healthy, we’re both ridiculous high achievers when it comes to our health, I thought it would just be easy. It really hasn’t been for us. That assumption was completely wrong," she stated. "It just feels like everyone around me is pregnant, having a baby, and it’s just made me realise that actually a baby is never a given. It’s a total blessing."

The couple have undergone fertility checks, which have not identified any obvious problems thus far, and are now planning to seek further specialist advice. "Thank you for the messages and the honesty, sending so much love to everyone in it with us. We’re hopeful, let’s see how the next few months go," Toffolo wrote alongside one of her videos.

Toffolo and Watt married on March 1, with the television personality sharing photos on social media where she wore her wedding dress and her husband donned fishing gear, a tribute to his late father. They became engaged in October 2024 when Watt proposed during a trip to Greece for Toffolo’s 30th birthday.
