Gemma Owen's first attempt at television presenting has been highlighted in her family's new reality series, 'Meet The Owens,' showcasing several on-air stumbles. The show, available on Prime Video, revealed behind-the-scenes footage of Owen's hosting gig on Channel 4's 'Horse Of The Year' show.

During an interview segment, Owen mistakenly introduced her guest, Fiona, as Wayne and Carol. The segment was pre-recorded, allowing the participants to laugh off the error. Later, while attempting to get the contact number for a producer based in Wales, Owen questioned whether Welsh residents used a different dialing code, asking, "Do Welsh people have the same number as us? Do I have to put plus 44?"

Owen, who gained fame on the 2022 series of 'Love Island' and is now pursuing a career in horse racing, is featured in the six-part docuseries with her family. The show chronicles a year in the life of Michael Owen, his wife Louise, and their four children as they manage a horse racing business alongside their home life.

Elsewhere in the series, Louise Owen discusses her role in her husband Michael's decision to leave Real Madrid after only one season. She explained that the isolation and lack of a support network in a foreign country were difficult for her as a new mother to their eldest daughter, Gemma, who was just one year old at the time.

Michael Owen, a former footballer, recalled enjoying his time at the club but being aware of his wife's unhappiness. "I knew there was no coming back from that," he stated, referring to his wife's struggles. Louise expressed a sense of guilt, wondering if Michael would have stayed longer if he had been solely focused on his career. The series also touches on the family preparing for an empty nest, with their youngest daughter Jessica aspiring to be an Olympic showjumper, Emily considering university, and James contemplating joining the family business.
