Gemma Owen's foray into television presenting was marked by several notable errors during her debut on Channel 4's Horse Of The Year show, as revealed in the new Prime Video series, "Meet The Owens." The reality television personality, 23, who gained fame on the 2022 season of "Love Island," is now pursuing a career in horse racing.

During her first interview segment, Owen was under the impression she would be speaking with guests named Wayne and Carol. However, the guest introduced herself as Fiona, leading to a moment of confusion that was captured for the series. Fortunately, the segment was pre-recorded, allowing the participants to laugh off the error.

Later, Owen drew further attention when she inquired about dialing a producer who lived in Wales. She asked if Welsh residents required an international dialing code, questioning, "Do Welsh people have the same number as us? Do I have to put plus 44?" Her mother, Louise, was audibly amused by the question, while Owen defended her query by stating, "Well I mean, she's Welsh!"

The "Meet The Owens" docuseries, a six-part production by Whisper, offers a glimpse into the life of Michael Owen, his wife Louise, and their four children. The show follows their endeavors in managing a horse racing business alongside their family life. It also explores the Owens' transition to becoming empty nesters, with youngest daughter Jessica aspiring to be an Olympic showjumper, Emily pursuing university, and son James considering joining the family business.

In separate segments of the series, Michael Owen reflects on his brief stint at Real Madrid in 2004. He shared that while he enjoyed his time playing for the Spanish club, his wife Louise found the experience challenging. Louise recounted feeling isolated in a foreign country with a one-year-old Gemma, without her usual support network and with Michael frequently away.

Elsewhere, Louise revealed she's the reason Michael only stayed at Real Madrid for one season, sharing her 'guilt' at his abrupt departure (pictured in Madrid with Gemma)

Louise expressed that Michael's awareness of her unhappiness likely contributed to his decision to leave Real Madrid after just one season. She noted a sense of guilt, questioning if he would have stayed longer for his career had she been content.

"Meet The Owens" is now available for streaming on Prime Video.
