Liam and Noel Gallagher were seen departing the Venice Film Festival on Sunday, a day after the premiere of their documentary, "Oasis: Don't Look Back In Anger," which has reportedly been met with critical approval.

The brothers, who have a notoriously turbulent relationship, presented a united front on the red carpet at the premiere on Saturday night. Noel Gallagher, 59, described his younger brother, 53-year-old Liam, as "delightful," acknowledging that while Liam has not formally apologized, their relationship has been rebuilt. The documentary explores the complex dynamics between the siblings and the band's history.

"Oasis: Don't Look Back In Anger" delves into the events leading up to and during the band's reunion tour, which grossed approximately £100 million for each Gallagher brother and is slated for a follow-up tour next year. The film reportedly captures the strained relations between Liam and Noel, even during rehearsals for their comeback shows.

One notable incident recounted in the documentary involved Liam's absence from a final rehearsal before the band's first reunion concert at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff. Noel recalled Liam's late arrival, approximately 20 minutes before the gig, and his unexpected request for catering, followed by grabbing Noel's hand as they went on stage. Noel expressed astonishment at Liam's performance, describing him as an "absolute mad" rock and roller.

Filmmakers noted that the Gallaghers were not on speaking terms when filming commenced, leading to separate interviews and unusual tour promoter arrangements due to their history of conflict. The documentary suggests that the reconciliation was gradual, with the brothers not able to sit down together until later in the tour. Liam himself commented in the film that their reconciliation was effected "without saying a word."

Noel admitted to being surprised by his own emotional reactions during the tour, at times turning away from the audience to hide his tears. He stated that the petty annoyances that once fueled their arguments have disappeared, and they now see each other as equals. "Here is a word which I never would have thought I would say about him: delightful," Noel remarked, adding that they communicate via text like normal people and that "the music brought us together."

Despite the apparent peace, the brothers opted not to participate in a press conference at the festival, avoiding direct questions about their relationship. Co-director Will Lovelace observed that they "seem to be getting on pretty well."

The documentary, which utilized remote cameras to capture rehearsal footage, highlights the initial distance between the siblings. Liam's entry into rehearsal rooms, his quick departures after his vocal parts, and Noel's observations about his brother's mood are depicted. Steven Knight, the creator, writer, and producer, noted that they were unsure how the process would unfold, emphasizing the working-class nature of the men, who are not prone to overt displays of affection.

During the tour, the children of both brothers met for the first time in many years, further aiding the thawing of relations. Noel has two teenage sons and a daughter from previous marriages, while Liam has children from his marriages to Patsy Kensit and Nicole Appleton, and a daughter from a past relationship. The film suggests that the children have bonded, with Liam noting they are "loving it - f***ing spangled every night."

Initially, Noel expressed skepticism about a genuine reconciliation, stating he was "born with one fatal flaw in my character: I will not forgive people." He described his brother as someone who "truly does not give a f***" and remains unchanged. The documentary aims to provide fans with an immersive experience of the reunion tour.
