West Hollywood hosted the world premiere of Amazon MGM Studios' new thriller, “The Runner,” starring Gal Gadot. The event took place Thursday at the Harmony Gold Theater.
Gadot, who plays a high-powered attorney in the film, described it as one of the most challenging movies she has ever made. "It's gonna grab you, so take a deep breath — it's gonna let go only at the end of the movie," she told attendees.
Directed by Kevin Macdonald, “The Runner” follows Gadot's character as her morning jog is disrupted when her son is kidnapped. She is then forced to comply with the demands of an antagonist while navigating London.
The film is scheduled to be released on Prime Video on September 2.
Attendees at the premiere included actor Mena Massoud and reality star Harry Jowsey. Guests received gift bags containing running socks and electrolyte mix. Following the screening, an afterparty was held at Ysabel, featuring themed cocktails such as the "Sprint Fizz" and "Runner's High."
Sue Kroll, head of global marketing for Amazon MGM Studios, welcomed guests and recalled her previous work with Gadot on “Wonder Woman.” Kroll and Gadot were photographed together at the event, with Kroll kissing Gadot on the cheek.
