The congestion outside Taylor Swift's New York City apartment has dissipated two days after her wedding to Travis Kelce. The pop superstar and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, both 36, exchanged vows in a celebrity-filled ceremony at Madison Square Garden on Friday.
Ahead of the wedding, the street outside Swift's $50 million Tribeca townhouse had been lined with vehicles. However, by Sunday, the excitement had settled, and the street had returned to its normal rhythm as the Independence Day weekend concluded.
Swift began building her New York City real estate portfolio in 2014, acquiring two adjacent penthouses on Franklin Street for $19.5 million. She later combined these into a 10-bedroom duplex. In 2018, she expanded her holdings by purchasing a second-floor unit for $10 million, adding 3,450 square feet. Around the same time, she bought an adjacent townhouse for $18 million. This three-level building includes a home cinema, gym, seven bedrooms, and a separate apartment for her security team.
Amidst the wedding festivities, there were reports that the newlyweds might have celebrated the Fourth of July at Swift's Rhode Island mansion. An eyewitness reported activity at her $18 million waterfront property in Rhode Island on Saturday afternoon. Swift's private jet landed at Groton-New London Airport in Connecticut that same afternoon, though it remains unconfirmed who was aboard. The insider noted activity at her Rhode Island home in the late afternoon and during a fireworks display before 9 p.m. Eastern Time.
Reports also suggest that Swift and Kelce, who began dating in 2023, are planning an extensive honeymoon. This trip is expected to include destinations such as the Bahamas, the Italian coast at Lake Como, Paris, the French Riviera, Croatia, a private island in Greece, Singapore, Australia, Fiji, and the Hawaiian Islands.
