Freddy Brazier and his grandmother Jackiey Budden have reconciled after a recent public falling-out, sources told the Daily Mail, with the reconciliation prompted by the model seeing his unborn child for the first time during a hospital scan.
A friend of the family said the scan, which took place at a London hospital on Tuesday, changed Brazier's outlook and led him to seek out his grandmother. After the appointment he took Jackiey, 68, to an upmarket meal to "bury the hatchet" and celebrate his impending fatherhood, the friend added.
Freddy, 20, who is the son of the late reality star Jade Goody, has been close to Jackiey for years and has at times lived with her in Bermondsey, South East London. The pair's relationship deteriorated last month after Brazier publicly accused Jackiey of introducing him to stronger cannabis when he was a child. Jackiey strongly denied the allegation, saying Brazier had been smoking with peers long before she and he ever smoked together.
The family has endured other public disputes this year. Earlier in 2025 Freddy's father, television presenter Jeff Brazier, sought to limit Jackiey's role in his son's life, reportedly submitting a court claim that she was a bad influence. The legal move fuelled a row between father and son but was dropped in August after the men reunited, according to previous reporting.
Brazier announced last week that he was to become a father after his former girlfriend, Holly Swinburn, sent him photographs of a positive pregnancy test following a period in which the pair had split. Friends say the couple are now attempting to put their differences aside as they prepare to parent together.
Jackiey told the Daily Mail she was upset by her grandson's public allegations and insisted she had "only ever tried to look out for him and give him somewhere safe to be." She said Brazier had "got into some bad crowds" prior to any time they smoked together and that recent comments about her had been distressing.
Family sources said Brazier has often turned to Jackiey for stability and shelter, noting he once slept in the bedroom where his mother grew up after she redecorated it for him. The reconciliation follows months of strained relations within the family and comes as the wider Goody family continues to navigate disputes made public in recent years.
Brazier's older brother, Bobby, has also made headlines this year, announcing plans to leave his role on EastEnders and step away from show business to pursue his Hare Krishna faith in India, further underscoring a period of change for the family.
