Former San Francisco Giants first baseman Aubrey Huff directed a lengthy homophobic tirade on social media platform X, targeting his former team's Pride Night. The comments came after several Giants pitchers reportedly wrote Bible verses on their hats during the event on June 12.

Huff, who played for the Giants from 2010 to 2012 and was part of their World Series championship teams in 2010 and 2012, expressed his views on the team's decision to host Pride Night and the subsequent reaction from management.

"I can pretty much guarantee you I know exactly what Buster wants to say about having to answer irrelevant non-Baseball questions that pertain to the sexual preference within the LGBTQ fudge packing community," Huff wrote in a post on Wednesday morning. He claimed to know what general manager Buster Posey intended to say when questioned by reporters about the event, asserting that he and many other players, coaches, and front office executives from the Giants' championship era would share similar sentiments.

Huff's remarks included offensive statements about the LGBTQ community, stating, "I’m not wearing this gay bulls–t. Queers don’t watch Baseball anyway. They watch The View, enjoy therapy, & fudge packing sessions." He further added, "And anyone inside the LGBTQ community, or those who support them don’t like what I just said, then I say to you…. Go f–k yourselves, & eat a d–k. And I mean that in the most literal sense." Huff is known for making controversial statements on social media. The incident involving the Pride Night sparked controversy when several pitchers on the current Giants roster chose to alter their official team hats, which featured rainbow elements to celebrate LGBTQ Pride Month, by covering them with Bible verses.
