Filming Begins for Third 'The Inbetweeners' Movie, Mystery Wedding Scene Revealed

Filming has commenced for the third movie installment of the popular British sitcom "The Inbetweeners," with cast members spotted shooting a mystery wedding scene. Simon Bird (Will McKenzie), Joe Thomas (Simon Cooper), James Buckley (Jay Cartwright), and Blake Harrison (Neil Sutherland) were seen dressed in suits outside a church.

The identity of the groom remains undisclosed, but actress Marina Bye, daughter of Ruby Wax, was pictured in a wedding dress as the bride. Several other actors also appeared on set, including Emily Head, who played Simon's former love interest Carli D'Amato, and Martin Trenaman, who portrayed Simon's father. A new actress, Hannah Cruz, was also seen filming scenes with Simon Bird's character, Will.

The production news follows months of speculation about a potential return for the series, which originally aired on Channel 4 from 2008 to 2010. Two films were released in 2011 and 2014, with a reunion special in 2019.

However, reports indicate that Emily Atack, who played Charlotte 'Big Jugs' Hinchcliffe, will not be returning for the third film. This is reportedly due to an alleged past feud with James Buckley. Atack was reportedly unceremoniously removed from the 2019 reunion special following a past fling with Buckley, which he allegedly feared his wife would discover. Sources suggest that while the main cast has signed on, producers are keen to include Atack, but a dispute may be hindering her involvement.

Online discussions range from predictions about the characters' futures, such as Jay becoming a stay-at-home dad or Neil accumulating wealth through stocks, to concerns that the show's signature risqué humor might be toned down to avoid controversy and appear more politically correct.
