Fern Britton has expressed that she has no regrets following her divorce from former This Morning presenter Phil Vickery. The 69-year-old television personality, who moved from Buckinghamshire to Cornwall six years ago, stated in a recent interview that she enjoys her own company and never feels lonely.
Britton and Vickery, 65, divorced in 2020 after two decades together. Reflecting on her life, Britton told Bella Magazine, "I like my own company and I never feel lonely. Never underestimate anybody and never underestimate yourself." She also advised her younger self to "just get on with it. Never look back. If you're lost, keep going."

Last year, Britton admitted that maintaining a cordial relationship with her ex-husband has been challenging. She stated that she makes an effort not to speak negatively about Vickery in front of their 25-year-old daughter, Winnie, drawing from her own experience as the child of divorced parents. Britton also has three other children from her first marriage to Clive Jones: twins Harry and Jack, 32, and Grace, 29. She revealed in an interview with Yours magazine that she has had no contact with Phil Vickery for six years.

Britton's relocation to Cornwall is part of a broader personal transformation. Following her divorce, she has become a more prolific writer, releasing novels such as "Daughters Of Cornwall" in 2020 and "The Good Servant" two years later. She has also undergone a significant lifestyle overhaul, losing five stone by quitting smoking and drinking, managing her diet, and adopting a more active lifestyle, including starting the Couch to 5k program.
