Scott McCreery, father of Collingwood premiership player Beau McCreery, has issued an apology after making an "embarrassing gaffe" by publicly propositioning influencer Annie Knight online. McCreery, 58, mistook a comment on Knight's Instagram post for a private message, writing, "Hi Annie I'm in Adelaide SA I would love to give you a go. How do I go about seeing you? Hopefully I hear from you."
Knight, 29, is engaged to Henry Brayshaw, the son of AFL commentator James Brayshaw. The couple, who rekindled their relationship a week before their engagement in March 2025, are planning a wedding and have discussed starting a family. Brayshaw proposed with a three-carat diamond ring, estimated to be worth between $140,000 and $200,000.
Knight shared in December that she plans to raise her future children with a philosophy of non-judgment. "I'm going to raise my kids the way I was, that you don't judge people. Don't waste your life judging people," she said on the "One Night with Steiny" podcast. "If you don't like what I do, that's fine. But there is no need to hate on other people."
Knight also revealed last October that Henry Brayshaw is estranged from his father. "To be honest with you, Henry and James don't really have much of a relationship," she stated on "Saucy Secrets with Jana Hocking." "So, he wasn't sort of part of the process at all. But the rest of Henry's family are super supportive, so that's all we care about."
Scott McCreery told the Herald Sun that he wrote the comment "on a whim."
