Karli Hinkley, a participant in the 2024 season of the Australian dating series "Farmer Wants a Wife," has announced her engagement to Mitchell Gorman and revealed she is pregnant with their first child. The couple shared their engagement news on Saturday, two weeks after announcing the pregnancy.

Hinkley, 32, posted on Instagram, expressing her excitement about marrying Gorman. "It was always you and now it's forever," she wrote alongside a photo displaying her engagement ring. "I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you. I love you always and forever."

The pregnancy announcement, made earlier in August, also appeared on Instagram with the caption "Baby Gorman due December." The post featured Hinkley and Gorman embracing, with Hinkley showing her baby bump.

Hinkley's participation in "Farmer Wants a Wife" led to controversy when it was revealed she was in a secret relationship with Gorman while still romantically involved with farmer Bert Harris on the show. Reports indicated that Hinkley was bound by a contract with the Channel Seven show, requiring her to conceal her romance until filming concluded.

"The show wrapped in December last year and Karli was actually done with filming in November," a source close to Hinkley stated at the time. "She has had plenty of time to put the show behind her."

During the season, Bert Harris exited the series before selecting a final partner, impacting his relationships with contestants including Hinkley, Caitlin Crank, and Brooke McCallum. Hinkley later made her relationship with Gorman public on social media shortly after rumors of their romance surfaced. Her public announcement drew criticism from some viewers who questioned the timing of her declarations of love.
