Father Carlos Martins, a Catholic priest and exorcist, has recounted several chilling experiences performing exorcisms, detailing instances of supernatural strength and unexplained phenomena, including one incident where he sustained injuries requiring two surgeries.
During an appearance on 'Hang Out with Sean Hannity,' Martins described a possessed woman who exhibited extraordinary physical power, allegedly lifting a large man and throwing him approximately 15 feet across a room with significant force. He noted the man completed a full rotation in the air before landing. Martins also shared an account of a possessed woman causing a light switch cover to unscrew itself, fly into her hand, and then be used to inflict a wound on her own arm.
Martins, who states he has encountered "multiple dozens" of possessed individuals, also shared other disturbing accounts. He recalled a man who displayed animalistic behavior, hissing like a cat with visibly elongated canine teeth. In another instance, a 14-year-old girl's reflection did not appear in mirrors, nor did she show up in photographs, which Martins attributed to the devil's alleged ability to manipulate light.
He drew parallels to the 1973 film "The Exorcist," suggesting the movie accurately depicted many aspects of real exorcisms, including displays of extreme strength, though he clarified that some dramatic elements, like a 360-degree head rotation, are not realistic.
Martins emphasized that not every priest is qualified or permitted to perform exorcisms due to the significant personal danger involved. He stated that Catholic dioceses are mandated to have at least one designated exorcist, and individuals are typically appointed to the role by invitation rather than self-selection.
