Alanna Pow, a 22-year-old former flight attendant, said she quit a three-year career in aviation after passengers repeatedly mistook her for an adult model and handed her business cards — a series of encounters she says prompted her to start an OnlyFans page that she now says brings in roughly £110,000 a month.
Pow told the Daily Mail that she worked gruelling 14-hour shifts for several years and earned about £29,000 a year as cabin crew before launching her online career. She said passengers would frequently ask whether she had an OnlyFans and sometimes offered business cards, which persuaded her to create an account under the handle @alannasworld.
Pow said her social media following has grown to about 3 million across platforms and that her monthly income has at times been as much as 45 times her previous salary. She described an early phase in which she earned about £5,000 a month and said many of her initial subscribers were airline pilots. Her content now includes photographs and videos along with roleplay material that incorporates elements of her former job, such as flight attendant uniforms.
Pow, who was born in Australia and now lives in Bali, said she values parts of her previous job but would not return to it. "I can't ever go back to that but I am grateful I worked a normal job and didn't go straight into what I do now," she told the Daily Mail, adding that the irregular hours and routines of flying harmed her health. She said she sometimes worked as many as 140 hours a month and that inconsistent meal times and in-flight food affected her well-being.
She said some former colleagues discussed her move into adult content but that she has "no bad blood" with them. Pow also described perks she still notices when travelling, saying that talking with cabin crew and friends in the industry sometimes earns her complimentary food and drinks.
Pow said she has invested some earnings in cosmetic procedures, spending about £38,000 on two Brazilian butt lifts and a nose operation in Turkey. She said the procedures were intended to alter her proportions and said the changes have been positive for her image and career.
She described a lifestyle that includes regular international travel — she said she takes about five international trips a year to destinations in Africa, South America, the United States and Asia — and said she is close to buying a second home. Pow said her next financial goal is to provide more comfortably for her mother.
OnlyFans is a subscription-based platform that many creators use to sell photos and videos directly to paying subscribers. Creators' incomes can vary widely, and public reporting on individual earnings relies on self-reports or platform disclosures.
Pow framed her career change as transformative. "Since joining OnlyFans, my world's been flipped upside down. It has dramatically changed my life," she told the Daily Mail. Her account and related social media activity illustrate a route some former service-industry workers have taken toward monetizing online followings, a trend that has prompted discussion about digital entrepreneurship, privacy and the economics of adult-content platforms.
