Eva Mendes has shared her affection for a tattoo on her wrist that appears to be a tribute to her longtime partner, Ryan Gosling. The actress posted photos on Instagram Friday, including one that revealed the phrase "de Gosling" inked on her wrist.

Mendes commented on the post, stating that the tattoo is "the only one I have, the only one I’ve ever wanted." In Hispanic culture, married women sometimes adopt "de" before their husband's surname, a practice that would translate Mendes's name as Eva Mendes de Gosling.

This is not the first time the tattoo has fueled speculation about the couple's marital status. Mendes previously showed the ink in 2022, leading fans to wonder if it was a confirmation of marriage. Despite these hints, Mendes and Gosling have not publicly confirmed whether they are married. Reports of a private ceremony in 2016 have also circulated, but remain unconfirmed.

Further adding to the speculation, Mendes referred to Gosling as "my husband" during an appearance on "Today Australia" in 2022 while discussing their time in Australia with their children. She has also been photographed wearing a ring on her ring finger on occasion.

Mendes and Gosling began their relationship in 2011 after meeting on the set of the film "The Place Beyond the Pines." They have two daughters together, Esmeralda and Amanda. Mendes has previously expressed that she did not desire children until meeting Gosling, telling Women's Health magazine in 2019 that "it made sense for me to have... not kids, but his kids."
