Eva Mendes made a rare public appearance Tuesday, stepping out in London’s Notting Hill to run errands in the first sighting of the actress in about six months.

Photographed in a khaki oversized sweater dress and tan knee-high leather boots, Mendes, 51, shielded her face with a baseball cap and carried a large shoulder bag as she moved through the neighborhood. She appeared to be wearing little or no makeup.

The outing follows a quieter period for Mendes, who celebrated turning 51 in March with a fashion campaign for Stella McCartney and was last photographed publicly in December when she had lunch in Beverly Hills. In an Instagram post accompanying the campaign shot, Mendes wrote, "My new campaign and my new age just dropped! I’m 51 today and so grateful for all the reasons," and praised Stella McCartney’s designs for being "cruelty free" and making her feel "so great." She added that she missed McCartney’s Paris Fashion Week show to celebrate her birthday with family.

Mendes is married to actor Ryan Gosling, and the couple have two daughters, Esmeralda, 10, and Amada, 8. The two actors first met in 2011 while working on the crime drama The Place Beyond the Pines and have largely kept their family life private in the years since.

The actress, who rose to prominence with roles in films such as the 2001 thriller Training Day, has in recent interviews spoken candidly about aging and cosmetic treatments. In an interview with The Times last year, Mendes said she was open to reversible procedures such as Botox, noting, "If you get Botox, it goes away if you don't like it," and acknowledging she had experimented with temporary treatments.

Mendes has not announced any upcoming film projects and has maintained a low public profile this year, balancing family life and selective professional commitments. Her recent campaign work with Stella McCartney marked one of her more visible professional engagements in 2025, generating attention as she celebrated her birthday and reflected publicly on style and aging.
