Daisy Campbell, who portrayed Amelia Spencer on Emmerdale for 13 years, has split from her boyfriend Nick, whom she began dating in 2023. The pair initially met years earlier at school.

A source close to Campbell confirmed the breakup to The Sun, stating that the couple "just grew apart" due to busy schedules. The source added that while there is no animosity between Campbell and Nick, the actress is "incredibly happy" and "thoroughly enjoying singledom." Campbell has been focused on her business ventures and spending time with friends.

Nick provided support to Campbell following her departure from Emmerdale and as she established her new business. "He was very supportive, so there is no bad blood," the source noted.

Campbell, 23, joined Emmerdale in 2011 at the age of seven. Her character, Amelia Spencer, was a central figure in numerous storylines, including a notable relationship with the character Tom King. Campbell's exit from the soap occurred in 2024.

Speaking previously about her departure, Campbell described the experience as "heartbreaking" and "a shock." She explained that a change in producers led to her character being written out, a decision that left her feeling "upset" and in a "dark hole." Campbell acknowledged that she missed out on aspects of her childhood due to her commitment to the show, expressing a desire to have participated more in school activities with friends.

Following her exit from Emmerdale, Campbell explored other acting opportunities, including a brief role in Casualty, but ultimately found it challenging to secure consistent work. This led her to pursue a more stable career path by opening a Pilates studio, "That Pilates Place," in Pontefract. She stated her intention to use her Emmerdale earnings to fund the new venture.

Campbell has not entirely ruled out a return to acting, but her current primary focus is on her business. She revealed last year that Emmerdale bosses had informed her they had run out of storylines for her character. She found filming her final scenes difficult, describing the realization that she was leaving the soap that had been a significant part of her life since childhood as daunting.

Campbell confided in a few close friends and co-stars, including Rosie Bentham, Katie Hill, and Jack Downham, about her exit. They expressed devastation for her but offered unwavering support behind the scenes. Campbell initially kept the news private from the wider cast to process her emotions and "grieve the part of Amelia."
