Daisy Campbell, known for her 13-year role as Amelia Spencer on the ITV soap Emmerdale, has ended her relationship with boyfriend Nick. The couple, who met years earlier at school, began dating in 2024, the same year Campbell's character was written out of the series.

A source close to Campbell stated that the split occurred earlier this year, attributing it to the actress being heavily involved with her new business ventures and the pair growing apart. The source added that Campbell is now happier than ever, enjoying time with friends and focusing on her work.

Campbell joined Emmerdale in 2011 at the age of seven and portrayed Amelia Spencer until her departure in 2024. The actress has spoken about sacrificing parts of her childhood for the role and expressed feelings of being upset and in a "dark hole" following her character's axing. She described the exit as sudden and out of the blue.

Following her departure from Emmerdale, Campbell found it difficult to secure acting work, despite a brief appearance in Casualty. She ultimately decided to pivot to a more stable career and opened a Pilates studio, named That Pilates Place in Pontefract. Campbell has indicated that while she has not ruled out a return to acting, her business is currently her primary focus.

The decision to write out Campbell's character reportedly came after a new producer took charge of the show. Bosses had admitted they were running out of storylines for Amelia, particularly after her on-screen parents had left the Dales. Campbell mentioned that filming her final scenes was challenging, and she only informed a few close friends and co-stars of her impending exit. She noted the support she received from Emmerdale castmates Rosie Bentham, Katie Hill, and Jack Downham, who were devastated by the news.

Campbell acknowledged that Nick was supportive during her transition after being axed and while setting up her studio, and stated there is no animosity between them. She expressed that she doesn't have time for a relationship currently due to her busy schedule with her new business.
