Emmerdale actor Bradley Johnson has eloped with his fiancée Sammie Johnstone in Nashville, Tennessee, the couple announced Sunday on Instagram.

Johnson, 29, who portrays Vinnie Dingle on the ITV soap, shared a video of the newlyweds opening their marriage certificate. He captioned the post, "Eloped to Nashville. Married the love of my life." Johnstone wore a white minidress with cowboy boots, while Johnson opted for a cream waistcoat, beige trousers, and a white shirt.

The couple became engaged in October 2023 during a trip to Rome, sharing a photo in front of the Colosseum with Johnstone's engagement ring visible. They have been together since August 2021 and welcomed their son, Albie Jake Johnson, in November 2024.

Johnson's on-screen mother, Lisa Riley (Mandy Dingle), congratulated the couple, writing, "Love love love love and more love coming your way!!! CONGRATULATIONS, many years of happiness. Love from Me and your Uncle AL." Other Emmerdale co-stars, including Jay Kontzle (Billy Fletcher) and Laura Norton (Kerry Wyatt), also sent their well wishes.

The wedding news follows Johnson's recent departure from Emmerdale. After seven years on the show, he was reportedly axed in May as part of wider cast cuts at ITV. Sources cited changing viewer habits and a shift towards streaming services as contributing factors to the reductions, with fewer episodes necessitating a smaller cast.

Reports suggest that Johnson's character will be written out of the soap through a dramatic storyline. His on-screen mother, Riley, was reportedly devastated by the decision to axe him, given their close bond.
