Emma Roberts married Cody John in a custom-designed Monique Lhuillier gown during a ceremony in Sun Valley, Idaho. The vintage-inspired dress, described by Roberts as aiming for a "little antique ghost doll" aesthetic, was crafted from silk chiffon with a tea-stained effect, later named "antique rose" by the designer.

The design process involved Lhuillier and Roberts developing the dress from the ground up. It featured a corset and a high slit on the left side for ease of movement. A detachable asymmetrical shawl allowed Roberts to transition to a strapless look after the ceremony. The actress also wore a sheer veil and a mini Old Hollywood-style veil.

Roberts told Vogue that her inspiration came from a love of antique books, treasure hunting, and collecting old ephemera. She noted feeling a unique pressure designing her own wedding dress, having previously worn one in a film.

The creation of the gown took approximately 1,000 hours and nine months. Lhuillier described the dress as having "five looks" and mentioned Roberts' initial reaction upon trying it on was feeling like an "elfin fairy."

Roberts also commissioned a second outfit from Lhuillier's 2004 fall collection: a black, tea-length, two-piece corset set, intended for the afterparty. She described it as a piece that could appear both vintage and contemporary.

Roberts and John, who became engaged in July 2024, were married at his family estate. John wore a classic tuxedo for the occasion. Lhuillier confirmed the 1,000-hour, nine-month timeline for the custom gown. The couple's engagement was announced in July 2024.
