Emily Atack has married Alistair Garner in an intimate family ceremony held in the UK over the weekend. The actress, known for her role in "The Inbetweeners," shared the news and accompanying photos on social media, announcing that the couple plans to hold a more elaborate celebration in Spain next month.
Atack, 36, wore a plunging Josephine Scott dress with a floor-length veil for the UK ceremony. She posted on Instagram, "Yesterday we officially got married among close family and friends. It was absolutely perfect." She added, "I can't believe we get to do all that again in a few weeks time."
The couple's upcoming Spanish nuptials are anticipated to be a large celebration. Atack previously described the event as a "fat, f*** off party" and has been involved in the planning process, including selecting details like napkins.
She told Luxury London Magazine about her enjoyment of the planning, stating, "Choosing napkins and stuff. I'm like, 'My God, my life is here!'" Inspired by 1980s fashion, Atack also indicated she would be opting for a "big" wedding dress for the Spanish ceremony. The location is thought to be in Spain, a country Atack has a long-standing connection with, having holidayed there with her family since childhood.
"We had a property there and my dad sold it a couple of years ago, but it's our favourite place and we still go every year, and stay in a hotel," Atack shared. She also noted that the "guaranteed sun" in Spain was a bonus for the couple.
This is Atack's second marriage. She and Garner, 40, welcomed their son, Barney, the year before they became engaged in July 2025. Atack has also revealed that children will not be invited to the three-day celebration in Andalusia, Spain. She stated that guests have been understanding of this rule, adding, "I'm surprised by how many people are happy about that. I thought I'd get a lot of people kicking off, but they're like no, 'f*** those kids.'" The actress previously held a hen weekend in Cannes, sharing photos of the festivities, which included a significant amount of rosé wine.
