Actress Emily Atack and scientist Dr. Alistair Garner are celebrating their union for a second time with a wedding ceremony in a 16th-century church in Mojacar, Spain. The couple, who first married three weeks prior in Bedfordshire, gathered with approximately 200 friends and family members for the celebration, held amidst 30-degree Celsius heat.
The ceremony is set to take place in the church's courtyard. To shield guests from the intense sun, parasols are being provided for the approximately 50 attendees expected for the blessing portion of the event. Following the vows, a three-course dinner will be served in the same courtyard, beneath a large Ficus Benjamina tree adorned with fairy lights.
The wedding party includes Atack's parents, pop musician Keith Atack and actress-comedian Kate Robbins. Among the celebrity guests are Atack's Rivals co-stars Alex Hassell, Bella McClean, and Victoria Smurfit. Hassell was seen arriving with his wife, actress Emma King, while Smurfit was spotted hiring a car at the local airport.
Atack, 36, has spoken of her dream to marry in Mojacar, a place she frequented during childhood summers at her father's property. She and Garner, 40, first met in 1994 when Garner's father married Atack's aunt. The couple also have a two-year-old son.
Preparations at the venue included the setup of a DJ booth for dancing and the delivery of beverages. Atack was seen the day prior reviewing the arrangements with family and friends, which encompass the courtyards of two adjacent restaurants rented for the occasion.
