Actress Emily Atack has married her partner, Alistair Garner, in an intimate ceremony in the United Kingdom. The couple exchanged vows this past weekend surrounded by close family and friends.
Atack, 36, announced the news via Instagram on Sunday, sharing that they plan to hold a more elaborate celebration in Spain in two weeks. She posted, "Yesterday we officially got married among close family and friends. It was absolutely perfect. I can't believe we get to do all that again in a few weeks time." Garner is a scientist, and the couple welcomed their son, Barney, two, in 2022. Atack became engaged to Garner in July 2025.
For the UK ceremony, Atack wore a white dress and veil. Garner wore a black suit. The couple was seen enjoying champagne after the ceremony and traveled in a vintage silver car. They plan to have a second, larger wedding celebration in Andalusia, Spain.
Atack has described the upcoming Spanish celebration as a "fat, f*** off party" and has opted for a significant wedding dress. She told Grazia magazine, "Since Rivals, in terms of fashion, I tend to go quite big now generally." She also confirmed that children will not be invited to the three-day event in Spain, a decision she found her friends to be surprisingly accepting of.
Speaking on The Romesh Ranganathan Show podcast, Atack said, "We're being kind to our friends and making sure that people don't have to worry too much about paying for lots of things, but we have said no kids at the wedding, no children." She added, "I'm surprised by how many people are happy about that. I thought I'd get a lot of people kicking off, but they're like no, 'f*** those kids.'"
The actress previously shared details about her hen weekend in Cannes, where she posted photos in a bikini and veil, joking about having had "enough rosé to last a lifetime." The celebration involved numerous bottles of rosé and a large spread of food. Atack recommended hen dos, even for those not getting married, describing it as "the most fun you'll ever have losing all of your belongings."
Spain has been a significant location for Atack, with family holidays there since childhood. She and Garner had reportedly considered wedding venues in Spain, with an insider telling The Sun On Sunday that they "adore the stunning countryside there, and guaranteed sun is a bonus." Atack also mentioned her family previously owned property there, and they continue to visit annually.
