Love Island's Ellie Chadwick has quit the villa, with her departure airing on Thursday night's episode after fellow islanders voted to dump her partner, Finley Maddock.

The decision came after a public vote identified the three least popular girls as Elicia, Martha, and Mica, and the three least popular boys as Finley, Jordan, and Samraj. Elicia and Jordan were automatically eliminated based on these public votes.

The remaining islanders were then tasked with voting to eliminate two more contestants from the remaining four: Martha, Finley, Samraj, and another unnamed islander. Ultimately, Martha and Finley were chosen to leave the villa.

Upon hearing the decision, Chadwick expressed her strong feelings for Maddock, stating, "I know that he is my person." Her tears streamed down her face as she announced her decision to leave the show, saying, "I'm going guys I am going I can't do it." Maddock questioned her decision, asking, "Are you sure? I feel like I've put you in this situation. I feel I've just ruined your experience." Chadwick responded that she felt no one else could provide the connection she had with him within the short timeframe of the show.

The couple then shared a tearful goodbye with the other islanders before departing.

Chadwick's exit follows a turbulent week for the couple. While they had survived the Casa Amor challenge and appeared to be strengthening their relationship, Finley's head was turned by new bombshell Elicia Bailey the previous week. However, their romance seemed back on track by Tuesday night's episode when Finley ended his flirtation with Elicia, and Chadwick chose him in the subsequent recoupling.

Chadwick is the third contestant this year to leave the villa voluntarily. Earlier in the series, George Knight departed for "personal reasons," which he stated were related to a family health concern. However, sources suggested he had been warned for using "unacceptable language" in the villa and used the family news as a cover for his departure, although there was no indication that ITV bosses attempted to conceal his behavior. Additionally, Casa Amor bombshell Gabriel Garland was removed from the show after only one day due to past revelations that were not uncovered during initial background checks.
