Ellidy Pullin, a Gold Coast influencer and podcaster, has announced her engagement to boyfriend Brock Wadsworth, marking a significant new chapter six years after the death of Olympic snowboarder Alex 'Chumpy' Pullin.
Pullin, 34, shared the news on Instagram, posting a series of romantic photographs from a trip to Europe where Wadsworth proposed. In one of the photos, she is seen wearing a black lace dress on a beach, flashing her diamond ring and holding a glass of champagne. "HE WANTS TO BE STUCK WITH ME FOREVER," Pullin captioned the post.
The engagement follows less than a year after Pullin publicly introduced Wadsworth to her followers and confirmed she had begun a new relationship more than five years after Pullin's death. She first met Wadsworth, a Gold Coast contractor, when discussing dating again on her podcast, "Darling, Shine!".
Pullin had previously spoken on the LiSTNR podcast about feeling a mix of joy and guilt after revealing her relationship with Wadsworth in November. She acknowledged the guilt stemming from her initial belief that she and Pullin would be together forever. However, she stated, "I'm young, I'm never going to be alone forever. I didn't make a rash decision. I sat on this for pretty much a whole year, and I'm really stoked with where I am with him right now. It's f**king epic."
The couple later made their relationship Instagram official during a trip to Bali. Sources close to Pullin indicated that wedding bells could be on the horizon, with reports suggesting she is happier than she has been since Pullin's death and has built a loving family life with Wadsworth and her daughter, Minnie.
Alex 'Chumpy' Pullin, an Olympic snowboarder, drowned on the Gold Coast at the age of 32 in a spearfishing accident on July 8, 2020. In the months following his death, Ellidy Pullin underwent posthumous sperm retrieval and welcomed their daughter, Minnie, in October 2021.
