Elizabeth Hurley is set to join the cast of the Peacock comedy series "The Burbs" for its second season. The actress, 61, announced her new regular cast member role as Beverly Fish, the mother of British comedian Jack Whitehall's character Rob Fisher, in an Instagram post on Tuesday.
In her post, Hurley shared photos of herself in a striped bikini, bidding farewell to what she described as "the best summer ever." The series "The Burbs" is an adaptation of the 1989 Tom Hanks film of the same name. The original movie follows a couple who move to suburbia and become entangled in local secrets and paranoia.
Hurley recently spent time in St. Tropez for a holiday with her boyfriend Billy Ray Cyrus and actor Joan Collins. Collins, 93, shared photos from the trip, which included lunches and time spent relaxing at her villa. Hurley expressed her gratitude for the "enchanting holiday" in St. Tropez, posting a picture with Collins, Cyrus, and her son Damian. Collins and Hurley have maintained a long-standing friendship, having previously played mother and daughter in the E! drama series "The Royals."
Collins has spoken about her approach to maintaining her appearance, emphasizing moderation in diet and skincare rather than cosmetic procedures. She has stated that she eats significantly less than she did in her youth and avoids Botox, preferring to maintain facial expressions for her acting career. Collins has also advised on lifestyle habits such as drinking bottled water and consuming simple meals like boiled eggs and broccoli when aiming to lose weight quickly.
