The "Yellowstone" spinoff series "Dutton Ranch" has been officially renewed for a second season, Paramount+ announced Wednesday. The renewal comes as the first season is nearing its conclusion, with two episodes left to air.
The series, which focuses on the characters Beth Dutton, played by Kelly Reilly, and Rip Wheeler, portrayed by Cole Hauser, has become a central part of the "Yellowstone" universe on the streaming platform. The official Instagram page for "Dutton Ranch" shared the news with a caption stating, "We're just getting started. #DuttonRanch has been renewed for season 2."
"Dutton Ranch" premiered with two episodes on May 15, followed by weekly releases. The show has been described as a direct extension of the original "Yellowstone" series, capturing the high-stakes drama and unfolding chaos often set in Texas.
Actors Marc Menchaca, who plays Zachariah, and Juan Pablo Raba have previewed the storyline's shift to Texas for Beth and Rip. Menchaca described the move as "like taking matches to a gasoline party."
Taylor Sheridan created both "Yellowstone" and its associated spinoffs, building an extensive neo-Western franchise. "Dutton Ranch" is noted for maintaining a similar energy and narrative intensity to the original series, distinguishing itself from other installments like "Marshals."
