Video obtained by the Daily Mail shows former "Basketball Wives" star Draya Michele and NBA player Jalen Green engaged in a heated verbal confrontation outside The Manor hotel in SoHo during the early hours of Friday morning.
The footage, shot outside Mer Alas' New York Fashion Week annual soirée and an ongoing Seventy One Gin party, captured Michele, 40, rushing toward Green, 23, while two unidentified friends attempted to intervene. One friend is heard pleading, "Stop, stop, stop…everybody going to get into trouble," then adding, "Everybody forgive each other!" The pair continued to argue as the group walked down the sidewalk, with another friend embracing Michele and guiding her away from Green.
In the clip, Michele appears to try to catch up with Green to continue the confrontation while the friends attempt de-escalation. At the time of the altercation the party was still active, with onlookers and other guests in the area. Page Six reported that representatives for both Michele and Green did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
Michele, a fashion entrepreneur and reality television alum, was wearing form-fitting, partly sheer black leggings, a matching top and stiletto heels. Green, who plays in the NBA, wore coordinating black leather pants and a black T-shirt. The two have been publicly linked since the summer of 2023 and announced the birth of their daughter in May 2024.
Michele is the mother of three children: a 23-year-old son, Kniko Howard, from a previous relationship; a 9-year-old son, Jru Sandrick, with her ex-fiancé Orlando Sandrick; and the 1-year-old daughter she shares with Green. Their age difference and public relationship have drawn social media attention and criticism. In January, Michele faced backlash after she attended a Houston Rockets game with her eldest son, where Green was playing, prompting comments about the couple's 17-year age gap.
Hours after the late-night incident, Michele posted an Instagram Story showing the couple’s toddler navigating New York streets, suggesting the family remained together publicly following the confrontation.
Green, drafted into the NBA in 2021, and Michele have appeared together at public events since their relationship became known. Their coupling has been covered extensively in entertainment media, both for their age difference and for Michele's previous television profile. No official statements from law enforcement or the couple's representatives have been published regarding the confrontation captured on video.
