Veteran actress Donna Mills, 85, has joined the subscription-based platform OnlyFans to connect more personally with her fans. Mills, best known for her role as Abby Cunningham on the CBS soap opera "Knots Landing," announced that her page will offer a more intimate look into her life.
Mills stated in a release to Variety that she has always valued the support from her fans and sees OnlyFans as an opportunity for a more direct and personal connection than traditional social media allows. Her content will focus on sharing moments from her daily life, offering behind-the-scenes glimpses, and engaging with fans in a more meaningful way. She emphasized that the move is about staying authentic to herself while providing her supporters with exclusive access.
"It’s simply another platform to spend quality time with the people who’ve supported me throughout my career while staying true to who I am," Mills said. OnlyFans, while often associated with adult content, is also used by a variety of creators, including celebrities, to share exclusive photos, videos, and personal updates with paying subscribers.
Andy Bachman, CEO of OnlyFans owner Creators INC, praised Mills' decision, calling it an embrace of new opportunities while remaining authentic. He noted that Mills' approach to the platform is on her own terms, creating a space that is personal and true to her.
Mills' career began in 1966 and includes roles on "The Secret Storm," "Knots Landing," and "General Hospital," for which she won a Daytime Emmy Award. She has also appeared in recent films such as "Nope" and "Origin."
Mills joins a list of other notable figures who have launched OnlyFans accounts to engage directly with their audiences. These include Shannon Elizabeth, who launched her account in April 2021, and Jaime Pressly, among others. Other celebrities who use the platform include Cardi B, Bella Thorne, Chris Brown, Lily Allen, and Carmen Electra.
