Dolly Parton's younger sister, Frieda, has shared an emotional tribute to the country music icon four days after her death at age 80. Frieda, 69, who is also a performer of country and hard rock music, reflected on their relationship, acknowledging that while they experienced "highs and lows," she "never stopped loving her."

In a message posted on Facebook, Frieda expressed gratitude for the support from fans as she mourns her "big sister." She described Dolly as her "Dolly Momma," recalling childhood memories of her sister comforting her during the dark and Dolly stepping in to raise Frieda from ages 13 to 18.

Frieda also shared lighter moments, recounting how Dolly once tried to convince her to wear her wigs during performances at Dollywood, a suggestion Frieda ultimately declined. "Like all sisters, we definitely had our share of arguments and disagreements throughout the years, but even through all the highs and lows, and all the laughter and tears, I never stopped loving her," Frieda wrote.

She asked fans to pray for her and her family as they navigate their "insurmountable loss," adding that no one can replace Dolly in their hearts. Frieda intends to honor her sister's memory by continuing to share the love Dolly gave so freely and is working on a project to keep "a little piece of my Dolly Momma" with her.
