Country music legend Dolly Parton, who died at age 80, was remembered by Australian television host Karl Stefanovic with a resurfaced video of a 2020 duet. Stefanovic posted the clip to his Instagram account on Wednesday, showing a segment filmed for the breakfast television show "Today."

In the footage, Stefanovic attempts to sing Parton's 1982 hit "Islands in the Stream," a duet originally performed with Kenny Rogers. Parton joined in for the second verse, delivering an impromptu performance before encouraging Stefanovic to continue. However, Parton then playfully admonished him, saying, "I think you're gonna hurt yourself." She added with a laugh, "Don't hurt yourself. I'm not responsible for that. I think we've done enough."

Stefanovic captioned the video with a tribute, writing, "'Take it Tarzan.' Some people just have it. She had it all. Love forever." The post garnered numerous positive comments from fans expressing their admiration for Parton.

Parton's representatives confirmed her death on Tuesday via an Instagram video posted by her nephew, Bryan Seaver. A statement released to People indicated that Parton died following a "brief battle with cancer" at the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center, surrounded by loved ones. The specific type of cancer was not disclosed. Her passing followed months of health issues that led her to withdraw from public appearances, raising concerns among her fans.
