Fans are purchasing the denim collection designed by Dolly Parton following her death at age 80. The "Joleans," a collaboration with Khloe Kardashian's brand Good American, initially launched in April 2025 and aimed to emulate Parton's signature tight and curvy silhouettes.
Following the news of Parton's death on August 25, searches for her jeans reportedly surged by nearly 5000% within three hours. The shopping platform Lyst noted a spike in "Americana" fashion, including Parton's denim button-up shirt, which has also sold out.
On the Good American website, items from the "Joleans" line, which also includes denim jackets and corset tops, have become increasingly scarce. Petite straight-leg jeans were available in all sizes but quickly sold out. Similarly, high-rise flare pants, initially offered in 10 sizes, are now available in limited quantities at some retailers. "The Post has yet to hear back from Good American about whether the Dolly Parton Joleans collaboration will keep going after the death of its legendary 'dreamer in chief,'" the New York Post reported.
Launched in April 2026, the line's third collection featured bellbottoms, bedazzled straight-leg pants, and lace-up denim corsets. Stylists and fans praised the line for its fit and its connection to Parton's legacy. "They have that very Dolly combination of denim, glamour and a little bit of drama," said Las Vegas-based stylist Christie Moeller. Lea Bryant, a Nashville resident, added, "Having a piece connected to Dolly feels meaningful."
