A Daily Mail Entertainment documentary released this week alleges that television personality Katie Price arranged for paparazzi to wait for her outside a rehabilitation clinic in 2019 and again after a 2021 drink-driving crash, according to reporter Katie Hind.
Hind, speaking in the YouTube show How Princess Andre’s New Reality Show Reignited a Family Feud, said it is common for celebrities to coordinate with photographers about when and where to be photographed and to receive a share of the proceeds when images are sold. "At times, paps are told by the person they are taking pictures of where they are going to be, when and to take the pictures," Hind said. "In that instance, it's very usual that the celebrity takes a cut of the profits that those pictures take from whatever media organisation they are sold to. The celebrities will be well aware of when these pictures are to be published because they are involved in the process."
The programme frames those claims within the context of an ongoing feud between Price and her ex-husband, singer Peter Andre, sparked anew by a reality series featuring their daughter. Hind described the documentary as giving a "rare insight" into the dispute and the ways in which media exposure has intersected with the family’s public life.
According to the documentary, Price had paparazzi waiting outside the Priory, a clinic where she was reportedly admitted in 2019 for treatment for depression. The programme also alleges that she organised similar photo opportunities after a 2021 incident in which she was involved in a drink-driving crash and subsequently treated for post-traumatic stress disorder.
The show presents those accounts as part of a broader look at how staged images and managed publicity can affect relationships and reputations in celebrity families. Hind said the arrangement of photographs and the sale of images is an established practice in some corners of the entertainment media, and that celebrities who participate are generally aware of publication plans and the financial arrangements involved.
The documentary is available on the Daily Mail Entertainment YouTube channel. It focuses on the impact of Princess Andre’s newer reality-focused programming on long-running tensions between Price and Andre, while tracing episodes in Price’s personal and public life that the programme says have been shaped by media attention.
Representatives for Price and Andre did not provide comment to the programme excerpts featured in the Daily Mail’s presentation. The documentary’s allegations are drawn from interviews and archival material presented by the Mail’s entertainment coverage and are reported here as the programme described them.
