Disabled influencer Cole Sydnor, paralyzed from the chest down following a diving accident 15 years ago, and his wife Charisma have announced they are expecting their first child. The couple shared the news over the weekend in a joint Instagram post, accompanied by a video revealing ultrasound images.
Sydnor, 30, and Charisma, 31, have amassed over 1.23 million followers on social media platforms, where they share their experiences as an interabled and interracial couple. Their announcement was met with widespread congratulations from fans who have followed their journey.
This exciting news follows a challenging five-year fertility struggle for the couple, including several pregnancy losses. In March, Cole Sydnor revealed on Instagram that they were pursuing fertility treatments again, noting Charisma's recent endometriosis diagnosis as a new path forward. He described the process of trying again after multiple losses as "incredibly scary" and asked for thoughts as they navigated the journey.
The couple, who married in November 2020, first met in December 2017 at the Sheltering Arms rehabilitation facility in Virginia, where Sydnor was undergoing physical therapy after his 2011 accident. They began creating content together for their YouTube channel, "Roll with Cole and Charisma," to share their experiences and answer questions from their audience.
Sydnor previously shared that spending time with his two-year-old niece, Stella, in January solidified his desire to become a father. He described the moment as "baby fever," admitting that while he had always envisioned having a family, it was his interaction with Stella that cemented his readiness for parenthood. He recalled telling Charisma, "We're having a baby" after the experience.
