Jessie and D’Lila Combs, the 19-year-old twin daughters of Sean "Diddy" Combs, are launching a fashion brand named 12TWINTY1. The launch comes while their father is serving a 50-month sentence at FCI Fort Dix for two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.
The sisters aim to differentiate their careers from their father's public image. "His press is his press and our press is our press," D’Lila Combs told Page Six. "Our journey is separate. We try to stay positive, and we’re focused on what we’re building."
The idea for the street/casual line reportedly predates their father's 2024 arrest. The twins have been focusing on the brand since graduating high school last year, with planning beginning approximately three years ago. "Ever since we were little, we’ve loved fashion," Jessie Combs said.
Both sisters cited their parents as inspirations for their interest in fashion, referencing their father's "incredible style" and that of their late mother, model Kim Porter, who passed away in 2018 at the age of 47. Combs, who has seven children, shared Jessie, D’Lila, and their brother Christian "King" Combs with Porter.
According to the sisters, their father has been involved in the fashion business from behind bars, offering guidance based on his experience building his own fashion brand. "He’s very proud of us," Jessie Combs stated. "We’ve gone to him for guidance many times, and he’s been incredibly helpful."
The twins' first collection, titled "777," references the seven-minute age difference between them and also signifies the favorite number of both their mother and father. The collection includes items ranging from $34 tank tops to $119 hoodies.
