Diana Vickers has unveiled a remixed version of her viral hit song "Picky Bits," created in collaboration with the British retailer Marks & Spencer. The singer and her podcast co-host Chiara "Ki" Hunter, who first gained traction with the song in summer 2025, are featured in a new music video dancing through the aisles of an M&S Foodhall.
The updated track, released to coincide with National Picky Bits Day on June 27, features Vickers and Hunter singing iconic lines from the original song, such as "It's not a meal, but it's not a snack. Just bring something tiny in a pack," and "if you can stick a toothpick in it, then you can bring it to my picnic." The video captures shoppers' reactions as the duo celebrate the trend of "picky bits," grazing boards, and summer snacking.
Fans have responded enthusiastically to the remix, with some dubbing Vickers "summer's Mariah Carey" and comparing the song's return to Carey's annual Christmas music countdown. Rapper Professor Green also commented on the track, suggesting it "needs a rap verse," to which Vickers and Hunter responded positively.
"Picky Bits" marked Vickers' return to music after a 12-year hiatus. She initially rose to fame on The X Factor in 2008, achieving a number one single and an album. She has since pursued a career in musical theater, appearing in West End productions, and has co-hosted "Ki & Dee: The Podcast" since 2022.
In April, Vickers shared a personal health update, revealing she had been diagnosed with pelvic congestion syndrome after experiencing four years of unexplained chronic pain in her lower back, legs, and pelvis. She described the diagnosis, following a laparoscopy, as a relief, stating that she had previously felt she was "going absolutely mad." Vickers hopes that by sharing her experience, she can raise awareness and make other women with similar "mystery illnesses" feel less alone, highlighting issues with misdiagnosis and underfunded research in women's health.
