Singer Diana Vickers has announced the end of her year-long period of celibacy, which she began after a series of difficult dating experiences. Vickers, 34, told Fabulous Magazine that she decided to focus her energies on her career last year but recently felt a desire for intimacy and affection.

Vickers marked the end of her celibacy by sleeping with a colleague. She described the experience as positive and noted that she has remained friends with the individual. Currently single, her last public relationship was with model and musician George Craig, which concluded in 2015.

The former X Factor contestant, who has since established a career in musical theatre and podcasting, expressed a growing desire to settle down. "It would be nice to share that deep connection with someone, to have them absolutely fancying the pants off you and listening to you and laughing and lighting you up," she stated.

Health Update

In April, Vickers revealed she had been diagnosed with pelvic congestion syndrome after experiencing four years of unexplained pain. She shared on Instagram that the chronic condition, which causes veins in the pelvis to pool with blood and can lead to severe pain, had left her feeling as though she was "going absolutely mad for years."

"Unfortunately, this is a thing with women's health, we are misdiagnosed, there's not a lot of research and money into women's health and considering we are half of the population that's very infuriating," Vickers commented on the challenges women face with mysterious health issues. She underwent a laparoscopy, which led to the diagnosis. Vickers hopes that by sharing her experience, she can help other women suffering from similar unexplained illnesses feel less alone and raise awareness for women's health research.
