TikTok users have posted videos they say show the Jonas Brothers and other original cast members at a filming location for a long-rumored third Camp Rock movie, and Demi Lovato declined to confirm those reports during a recent television appearance.
On Sept. 16 Lovato, who starred as Mitchie Torres in the 2008 Disney Channel Original Movie and its 2010 sequel, appeared on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live and was asked point-blank by an audience member whether Camp Rock 3 was happening. She replied, "Is Camp Rock 3 happening? I saw that Joe said something and I’m really excited for the new generation to take the lead," then added, "You’ll just have to wait and see." The program airs Sunday through Thursday at 10 p.m. ET on Bravo; new episodes are available to stream the following day on Peacock.
The social media activity follows comments by Joe Jonas on an episode of Hot Ones in which he said he had "Read Camp Rock 3" noted in his phone and quipped, "Sorry, Disney." Clips of the Hot Ones appearance circulated widely and helped fuel renewed fan hope for another installment. Last summer, Lovato reunited onstage with the Jonas Brothers at the opening night of their Greetings From Your Hometown Tour to perform songs from the first two Camp Rock films, a reunion that generated further speculation.
TikTok users claiming to have identified a filming location also posted footage they said showed Joe, Nick and Kevin Jonas on a set earlier this week, alongside Maria Canals-Barrera, who played Mitchie’s mother in the original films. The posts offered no production paperwork or official statements, and the videos have not been independently verified by Disney or representatives for the cast.
Fans have campaigned for a third Camp Rock movie for years; social-media interest and occasional onstage reunions have kept the subject in public conversation. Neither Disney nor representatives for the Jonas Brothers or Lovato provided confirmation of a production schedule, casting or release plans as of the airing of Lovato’s Watch What Happens Live appearance.
The scope of any potential project, including whether it would reunite the original leads, feature a new generation of characters, or be released on streaming or theatrically, remains unconfirmed. For now, cast comments and social-media posts have served as the primary sources driving renewed attention to the possibility of a Camp Rock threequel.
