Cricket legend Dean Jones's daughter, Augusta Jones, recently married her husband Simon Duden in a ceremony held in Germany. The celebration was attended by friends and family, including Augusta's mother, Jane Jones, and her sister, Phoebe.
Phoebe shared moments from the wedding on social media, describing the event as a "fairytale" with a "pink kirche, cobblestones, carnival, fireworks, castles, and all" in Aschaffenburg. She noted the warm welcome from Simon's family, stating, "We showed up as guests and somehow left feeling like family."
Augusta, who was described as "ridiculously beautiful" by her sister, wore a wedding dress and a full veil for the ceremony. She expressed her gratitude to Phoebe for being part of the special day, commenting, "I love you so much, thank you for being part of our special day. Could not have done it without you."
Jane Jones also described the day as magical. The event took place almost six years after the sudden death of Dean Jones, who passed away at the age of 59 in India while preparing to commentate on an IPL match. Jones, known for revolutionizing the One Day International format, played 52 Test matches for Australia, averaging 46.55 with the bat and scoring 3,631 runs, including 11 centuries.
In 2024, Phoebe Jones also paid tribute to her late father at her own wedding, having his Australia cricket number, 324, stitched into her veil.
