Davina McCall married her husband, Michael Douglas, for a second time earlier this year in a private ceremony held at their home in Tunbridge Wells, Kent.
The presenter, 58, and Douglas, a hairdresser, had previously exchanged vows in a smaller ceremony in December at Marylebone Town Hall. The more expansive celebration took place months later at their £3.4 million mansion.
McCall purchased the property in 2020 as a "fresh start" for herself and her three children – Holly, 24, Tilly, 22, and Chester, 19 – following her split from ex-husband Matthew Robertson. She and Douglas officially moved in together in 2023 after several years of dating.
Since moving in, the couple has transformed the house into what McCall describes as their "tranquil safe haven." The home served as a place of support for McCall during her recent health battles, including a rare brain tumor diagnosis in late 2024 and a subsequent breast cancer diagnosis this year, for which she has since received an all-clear.
"So it was only right that their second wedding took place in the home they adore so deeply," the notes state.
McCall often refers to Douglas as the "love of her life" and highlights his calm, supportive, and secure demeanor, calling him her "green flag" husband. She has described "honest, open, straight-forward, no games" as qualities to look for in a partner on her Begin Again podcast.
The property features an at-home gym where the couple regularly works out. While McCall generally keeps her home life private, she and her children have occasionally shared glimpses on social media. The house includes a large kitchen with bifold doors opening onto a garden with a swimming pool.
In 2020, while the house was under construction, McCall told Woman & Home that the project was a collaborative effort with her children. "This year is going to be super stressful, but really fun. It's the next phase of our lives – a house that we've all built and everyone gets to choose how they want their bedrooms," she said.
McCall reportedly sold her previous marital home for £6.25 million.
Sources indicated that the couple spared no expense for their second wedding. Following a ceremony, guests were entertained with music and dancing in tipi tents. A tuk-tuk reportedly transported the newlyweds to their reception.
Their first wedding occurred shortly after McCall revealed her breast cancer diagnosis and underwent surgery to remove a lump. Friends suggested that her recent health issues prompted the couple to formalize their marriage. The intimate ceremony in December was attended by a small group of close friends and family. The following day, the couple attended another friend's wedding as a married couple and displayed McCall's wedding ring.
McCall publicly shared her breast cancer diagnosis last year, noting that it was detected early. In a recent Instagram video, she shared her emotional completion of a course of preventative radiotherapy.
The presenter has also announced she is stepping back from full-time work, viewing her health scares as a wake-up call. She described facing a rare brain tumor in 2024 and the subsequent cancer diagnosis as forcing her to confront a pattern of running from change and overworking. McCall stated that while the brain tumor prompted reflection on reducing stress, the breast cancer diagnosis solidified her decision to implement these changes.
